Tony Poulos Tony Poulos

Tony Poulos has been involved with software development and systems integration in travel and telecommunications for over 25 years. He developed a convergent billing system in the early nineties in Australia and from there he worked in a business development role with Unisys' Telecommunications Practice in Europe. He was co-founder of Copernicus Global Billing Services, a London based, web-enabled, managed service provider for outsourced billing and payments collection. He has worked in the areas of BSS, IT, revenue assurance, billing, payments, mobile internet access, mobile email and content delivery.

In addition to being a regular speaker and chairman at telco and finance conferences worldwide, he has been a Contributing Analyst for IDC, writes for a number of industry publications worldwide and is Anchor, for TelecomAsia's, Telecom Channel. Tony was an executive of the Global Billing Association for five years prior to its merger with the TM Forum. Until recently he headed up the Revenue Management Initiative of the TM Forum and conducts its training classes in billing and revenue management. His new role is one of BSS Strategist and Evangelist.

Eli Gelman has been serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Amdocs Management Limited since November 2010 and as a Director of Amdocs Management Limited since 2002. Before his appointment as Amdocs President and CEO, Eli was the Chairman of the Board of Retalix (NASDAQ: RTLX), an independent provider of software solutions to retailers and distributors worldwide.

Eli has more than 30 years experience in the software industry, including 20 years with Amdocs, which he left in 2008 (although still remaining a Director), before returning as President and CEO two years later. Eli held a number of senior positions during his two-decade period at Amdocs, including Executive Vice President of Amdocs Management Limited and subsequently Chief Operating Officer, where he was responsible for the overall management of Amdocs' Delivery, Customer Business Units, Strategy and Corporate Development.

Eli helped spearhead Amdocs' entry into the customer care and billing systems market when he served as Division President, leading Amdocs' Sales and Marketing Operations in the United States. Before that Eli served as account manager for Amdocs' major European and North American installations and led several major software development projects.

A communication and software engineer by training, Eli holds a BSc degree from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. In recent years, he has also devoted significant personal time to charitable work, particularly in the area of youth education.

Currently responsible for billing platforms and innovation, Ben first joined Vodafone Netherlands in 2003 where he originally created the Machine-to-Machine business team, growing the business to represent the largest M2M percentage of revenue out of the Vodafone operating companies. White at VF NL, Ben also grew the SOHO/SME business by double digits and combined the fixed and mobile business to transform VF NL into a total communications provider.

Previous to VF NL, Ben held a variety of positions and responsibilities in the communications industry including systems engineer, head of technical bid organization, global product management and head of International Multiplex organization. Ben has worked for a variety of different companies globally including Phillips Telecommunication, AT&T/Phillips joint venture and Lucent Technologies.

In 1999, Ben became executive chair member of the board of Bell Labs of Shanghai. Since receiving a technical university degree and his MBA, Ben has worked in the Telecom industry for over 25 years.

Mr. Thomas is an experienced Information Technology leader, with more than 20 years of experience in developing business, technology strategies, and complex implementations. Prior to joining MetroPCS Wireless, Inc. Mr. Thomas worked with 7-Eleven, providing enterprise-wide strategy and program management for the company's inventory management initiatives. Additional accomplishments at 7-Eleven include leading a cross functional team across store operations, conducing field trials. Mr. Thomas has also held senior positions at Luminant Worldwide and Sierra Systems. During this time he worked on simultaneous programs for American Airlines, TXU Energy, and the State of Texas. He began his career as a Senior Consultant for Ernst & Young, and after serving as a consultant for 2 years, Mr. Thomas joined BSG Consulting as a Project Manager.

Mr. Thomas received his MBA degree and bachelor of business administration from Baylor University. Craig is currently responsible for managing the decision making process and implementation of the billing and OSS systems at MetroPCS. As Staff Vice President, Mr. Thomas leads a multi-disciplinary team on critical projects.

Alfred Binford joined Amdocs in 2010 to lead its 2100-person Consulting and Systems Integration team worldwide. Prior to Amdocs, Alfred worked for Vodafone as Vice President for the Americas region of their Global Enterprise business unit. He was responsible for multi-national corporate accounts based in North and Latin America. These accounts were supported by teams of Global and National Account Managers, New Business Development (Sales) Managers, Commercial Operations, and Service & Program Management teams. Alfred's work also included the coordination of Strategic Alliance activity with key partners and affiliates such as Verizon Wireless.

Before joining Vodafone in 2007, Alfred was Vice President and Managing Partner at Unisys, leading its Global Outsourcing and Infrastructure Services (GOIS) division in North America. GOIS provided managed services, consulting, and systems integration services to large multi-national clients and government enterprises. He led the growth of this unit to over $1B in annual revenues and improved profitability.

Prior to his years at Unisys, Alfred managed US Southeast operations for EDS (now part of HP). Alfred's team at EDS posted significant growth in revenue, profits, and achieved several billion dollars in sales-bookings (TCV).

Alfred has a broad and deep background in telecommunications from his 11 years at AT&T, in a variety of roles including sales, marketing, network operations and product management. After AT&T, he spent several years working at what is now Verizon Communications. His first assignment there was Vice President for Corporate Marketing and Advertising.

Alfred earned his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and his bachelor's degree from the State University of New York.

Marc Martinez is Director of Strategic Planning for Mobility Customer Care for AT&T Business Solutions, an organization of over 9,000 employees providing customer support for 26 million AT&T wireless business customers. In this role he is responsible for guiding his organization down a sustainable path of reduced cost and an improved customer experience. His areas of expertise include global sourcing, center deployment, IVR strategy, and channel integration. Most recently, Marc developed an innovative cross-channel customer experience program to harness all customer touch-points. This long-term comprehensive approach has yielded industry leading margins and record customer satisfaction. 

Marc has been at AT&T for 13 years and during that time held various roles in Operations and Finance.

Prior to AT&T, Marc worked in Marketing at several consumer publishing companies. Marc holds an M.S. in Technology Management from the Stevens Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers College.

Michael Cooper is a leader in the fields of quality assurance (QA), software testing, IT leadership, and process improvement. Michael is currently the Senior Director of Enterprise Quality Management (EQM), reporting directly to the CIO of T-Mobile USA. He leads a team of more than 500 IT professionals in the areas of quality assurance, testing and infrastructure. Prior to joining T-Mobile USA, Michael was the Senior Director of Quality Assurance at Fair Isaac, Inc. and held Director-level positions in Quality Assurance at Inovis and Equifax. Mr. Cooper is a functional expert in manual and automated software testing techniques; and has a proven track record of successfully leading QA organization transformations, managed services, offshoring and outsourcing initiatives. Recognitions include the 2011 HP Software Award of Excellence Americas - People's Choice, the 2009 HP Software Award of Excellence for IT Transformation, and the Quality Leadership Executive of the Year Award in 2006. Michael is actively involved in the QA community, previously serving as the President of the Atlanta Quality Assurance Association (QLE Chapter); and currently serves on the HP Software Customer Advisory Board. Michael graduated with honors from the University of Florida and earned a MBA from Georgia State University. Michael lives in Dunwoody, GA, with his wife, three children, and two dogs.

Fotis joined Everything Everywhere from Romtelecom where he held the CIO role for 3 years. Romtelecom is 54% owned by OTE, which in turn is 30% owned by DT.

Prior to this he was the Director of IT & Telecommunications at Athens International Airport for 10 years (1997 – 2007). Member of the board of executives from 2000.

Previously worked for Cap Gemini and Cegelec.

MSc in Digital Electronics & Systems from the University of Manchester.

Eric has a track record of results in leadership roles across product management, marketing, business development and general management at Clarify, Nortel, Baan, Fujitsu and Apple Computer.

Jody is a telecommunications executive with over 15 years of experience in large transformational systems delivery. Jody has an Honours degree in Business and French from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Canada. She joined Clearnet Communications in 1996, where she spent four years in Operations and Project Management leading large technology implementations. In 2000 she joined the Clearnet IT team as vendor relations manager, and after the Clearnet acquisition by TELUS played an integral role in the billing system conversions at TELUS Mobility, converging 6 disparate billing platforms into one.

Jody is an avid traveller, and took a 16 month leave to travel around the world for her honeymoon. She then joined Strategic Planning & Execution in TELUS Consumer Solutions as Director of Project Planning and Delivery. She assumed responsibility for Project Imagine, the largest telecommunications systems conversion initiative in Canada, implementing a new ordering to billing platform at TELUS.

Jody now leads a team of more than 150 IT Professionals accountable for Systems Development for Major & Enterprise Business customers at TELUS.

Jody lives in British Columbia with her husband and two beautiful boys. They travel every chance they get.

Chris is the Director of Business Support Services for the Emerging Solutions Group. She is responsible for the delivery of support systems and infrastructure for the machine-to-machine (M2M) business unit, as well as operationalizing M2M solutions and managing customer implementations.

Chris has 18 years' experience with Sprint, starting in Consumer Long Distance where she managed teams responsible for identifying and preventing fraud on the network. During this time she received a co-inventor patent for the development of a proprietary fraud monitoring system. Chris then moved to Sprint PCS working in various Director positions in groups including Product Development, Business Care, and Strategic Programs. She has also held Director positions in Sprint Business Solutions, Product Technology and Development, and IT Account Management.

Prior to Sprint Nextel, Chris held management positions with Procter and Gamble Co., Avon Products Inc., and Mast Advertising and Publishing Inc.

Chris earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas. She currently serves as a member of the board of directors for Hope House, a domestic violence shelter in Kansas City, Missouri and as a Chapter Development Specialist for the Executive Women's Golf Association.

Graham has been active in the Canadian Wireless industry for more than 15 years. His career has included working for major brands such as RIM and Rogers in both product development and marketing roles. While at Rogers, he was part of the team that selected and then implemented the first installation of an Amdocs platform to the Canadian market.

For the past 6 years, Graham has been managing the embedded devices portfolio at TELUS Communications which has included devices on three different network technologies (CDMA, iDen and most recently HSPA). Over the past 2 years he has been building out the TELUS wholesale M2M Solution.

Graham has a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University and an MBA from Queen's University He currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Eric Updyke is Division President for the US Accounts Division. In this role, Eric and his team own the entire Amdocs relationship with Verizon, Sprint, TMO, US Cellular, and Clearwire, including full P&L responsibility.

Eric's background includes a successful tenure at Nokia Siemens Networks and Nokia Corporation, where he served as Head of Major Network Operators Customer Business Team, responsible for all facets of the relationship with Verizon, Sprint, Bell Canada, Telus, Clearwire, and regional CDMA operators. He also led the AT&T Customer Business Team. Prior to Nokia, Eric had a successful career with AT&T, where he served in a variety of capacities, including the role of Vice-President, Wireless Network Engineering.

Eric has a Masters of Business Administration degree from Cornell University along with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, also from Cornell University.

Gary Miles is Vice President for Service Delivery at Amdocs. Gary joined Amdocs in 2009 following its acquisition of jNetX, the global leader for Next Generation Intelligent Network Platforms, which he cofounded and served as CEO.

Prior to jNetX, Gary established and managed a billing and customer care company with more than 30 GSM customers in 20 countries. Gary has also worked for network equipment providers (Motorola) and service providers (Millicom).

Gary has a master's degree in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Mike Losier is a 30 year veteran of the Cable/Broadband industry. He is accomplished executive with wide-ranging experiences.

Mike has spent the last three years developing joint venture opportunities with cable/broadband partners in Beijing and Shanghai China.

Prior to that, he spent ten years as a key executive at Jupiter Telecommunications, the leading cable MSO in Japan. In his role as SVP of Marketing and Sales and as a member of the Board of Directors, he participated in one of the most successful bundled video, voice and data developments in the world. As a key member of JCOM's start up team in the mid '90s he helped establish the first multi-system operator when Cable TV in Japan was a struggling as a fragmented industry. Mr. Losier pioneered the "one stop shop" approach in Japan, offering bundled service options to simplify choices for the customer. He also helped JCOM differentiate from the competition by strengthening the customer service experience as a preferred provider. JCOM has continued to enjoy one of the lowest customer churn rates in the world.

Before joining Jupiter, Mr. Losier held several key Marketing and Sales management positions with AT&T Broadband, Telecommunications Inc. (TCI) and United Cable Television in the United States.

Most recently, Mike has been leading the development of an internal company Innovation Platform. Liberty Global plans to start rolling out later this month.

He lives with his wife and kids in Denver Colorado, enjoys skiing, biking, music and spending time with his family.

Brian Shepherd is a member of Amdocs' executive management team and leads the company's Marketing organization and Mobile Services Division, which is focused on driving rapid revenue and profit growth in the areas of mobile payments, digital services, and content aggregation.

Brian joined Amdocs in July 2005 as part of the DST Innovis acquisition and has served in a variety of senior executive positions, including President of Amdocs Interactive and Division President, Amdocs Broadband Communications and Media. Prior to Amdocs, Brian served as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of a wireless software start-up; spent four years at the McKinsey&Company management consulting firm, and worked for Eli Lilly in a variety of finance and manufacturing management roles.

Brian earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor's degree in Economics from Wabash College. He lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife and three daughters and, in his spare time, enjoys running and playing tennis.

Marcos has 15 years of IT and Engineering experience including a strong knowledge in Telecom and operation support systems. He works in TIM Brasil as Head of OSS department.

Marcos leads a team of IT professionals for Support and Systems Development for Network Operations in TIM. Now, he is in charge a huge project of OSS Transformation.

Previously worked for Walmart and Xerox in Brazil.

He is married and has two kids and holds a degree in Electronic Engineering.

Christos Bourlakos is Head of Network Support Services for Vodafone Germany. In this role he is responsible for delivering network related support systems to the internal organisation. Bourlakos's 15 years of software industry experience in telecommunication includes software design, development and implementation of big software solutions. He was responsible for the first implementation of Cramer OSS in Germany in 2001.

Rodrigo Modesto Ortiz Duclos has been involved in various innovation projects in the telecom industry: Cable TV start up in Brazil; Broadband; Mobile Services such as Prepaid, SMS, WAP, GPRS, Multimedia Messages, Ringtones, Location Based Services, Unified Communications, Voice Portals; Digital TV, Cable Telephony (VoIP), among others.

He is currently working at the largest Cable TV MSO of Latin America, developing triple and quad-play offers where he is responsible for the PMO of the top priorities projects and long term technology planning. His specialties are new products and services development (specification, procurement, negotiation, business modeling, support activities and PMO).

Rodrigo Modesto Ortiz Duclos Dean Walters

In his current position, Dean is Managing Director and Chief Information Officer for Liberty Global's European Broadband Operations (UPC Broadband). Liberty Global is the leading international cable operator with cable businesses in 10 European countries, spanning 13.4 million customers and 20.5 million service subscribers (RGUs).

Dean has over 10 years of service within the Liberty Global group, most recently serving as the Chief Information and Technology Officer for satellite TV operator AUSTAR in Australia. Dean was responsible for Broadcast Technology, Product Development, and all facets of technologies enabling Customer Care. Healso held key business roles during his tenure in the Customer Operations and Credit Services areas.

Dean Walters has over 30 years engineering and management experience in the Information, Technology and Telecommunications industry.

Ayal Shiran Ayal Shiran

Ayal Shiran was appointed President Customer business Group responsible for strengthening our customer business worldwide in August 2008. Since 2006, Mr. Shiran has been the Division President, responsible for the AT&T group of companies, including SBC, Bellsouth and Cingular. Previously Mr. Shiran has been the President of the Customer Business Unit responsible for all Amdocs business with Cingular Wireless. Prior to joining the company in 2004, Mr. Shiran served as Acting Vice President at TTI Team Telecom International, where he was responsible for all project deliveries and follow-up sales in the Americas, and in the Israel Air Force, where he was responsible for various projects concerning the development of computer systems for the F-15 jet airplane, and software development laboratories for the F-15 at Boeing.

Mr. Shiran holds a Masters degree in Computer Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
